  • To further the understanding of all aspects of Hispanic culture and life
  • To provide a meeting point for those interested in the Hispanic world
  • To provide inexpensive tuition in the Spanish language at a range of levels

Society Activities

Portsmouth Hispanic Society meets monthly in Fratton Community Centre, Trafalgar Place, Fratton, PO1 5JJThe main activities of the Society are the Monthly Meetings. These are talks or demonstrations followed by discussions, and a social evening with tapas available. They are held at the Fratton Community Centre in Portsmouth, Hampshire, at 7.00p.m. usually on the first Thursday of the month. MAP

Meetings are usually open to anyone.

The annual subscription for 2011/12 is £10.00. Non-members may pay £1.50 to attend any meeting. Full-time students are welcomed without charge.

If you would like to form part of a "Book Club" concentrating mostly on Spanish Literature, reading books in Spanish and/or English, please contact Josie Wheeler language@spanishportsmouth.org.uk with the subject Literature or speak to her at one of our evening meetings soon.
Some members have had problems accessing the password protected area. This can often be caused by your browser's cache needing to be cleared.
In your browser TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS locate the Browsing History and choose to delete Temporary Internet Files. This will clear your cache memory area. The Cache Memory is used as a temporary store by Windows to make access backwards and forwards whilst browsing the internet.
You may find it beneficial to clear the Temporary Internet Files occasionally.
